Welcome to The Costa Rica Shuttle, we provide dependable and serious transportation services in Costa Rica! We have been providing safe and economic transportation solutions for years and have made our main goal to fulfill our customer's expectations.
Many travelers are not confident in driving in foreign countries because of lack of good roads, of proper road signaling, and of overall stress related to driving, that is why you can depend on our drivers' knowledge of every corner of the country.
We can offer to pick you up at your hotel or even at the main exit gate of the International Airport and take you directly to your destination, saving on staying the first night in San Jose or simply by sitting back and relaxing thus having more time to enjoy the scenery of our beautiful country in detail. We understand your vacation time is very important and precious, that is why we offer the vast expertise of our drivers so you do not have to spend your vacation time waiting to board a scheduled local flight, or ending driving in a car rental more than necessary or getting directions if you get lost.
One example of the services we provide is to surfers that want to get to their surfing destinations as fast as possible and be able to surf first thing next morning. But local flights (even though they offer they can carry surfboards) will commonly leave behind their surfing equipment due to "weight or space restrictions" and with the promise that their equipment will arrive in a later flight, which sometimes may take more than two days, minimizing their surfing time in Costa Rica. Our Micro-buses (vans) have special luggage racks that can carry as many surfboards or large volume equipment such as telescopes, kayaks, etc.
Another advantage of contracting our transfer services versus using local flights is that if you are planning on getting to your destination the same day you arrive to the country in an International flight, and if you loose the local flight due to a delayed in arrival (for any reason) of your international flight then the local carries will not offer any refund. Our Micro-Buses can wait for you as long as it takes or vary the pick up date in a very short notice and in this way you will assure your vacation investment.

From San Jose to Herradura Beach we are able to offer you two types of services: Collective Shuttle and Private Shuttle, please review the following information:
COLLECTIVE SHUTTLE FROM SAN JOSE to HERRADURA BEACH:
This regular collective shuttle departs: Morning departure: 6:00am from San Jose Hotels 7:45am from San Jose Hotels 6:30am from San Jose Airport 8:15am from San Jose Airport departing from Calalu Restaurant by the airport *
Afternoon departure: 2:30pm from San Jose Hotels. 3:00pm from San Jose Airport
(We are not able to delay the departure times)
This is a door to door service rated in $35 per person.
Pick up and Drop off and pick up locations in Herradura: Marriott Los Suenos Resort – La Puesta del Sol – El Pelicano Herradura – El Paso de las Lapas
Private Transfer Service: (San Jose to Herradura) At the time of your arrival one of our drivers would be waiting for you at the airport exit with a sign with your name on it. From there you would be assisted. (if transportation is from hotel we will send the driver to pick you up directly from your hotel in San Jose central area or San Jose airport area) The total rate for this service is $150 (per way, from 1 to 4 guests and $25 the extra guest after 4) Includes: Your own private driver, own private minibus or large SUV Departure time is selected by the client. (Please provide your arrival flight itinerary)
Rates between 6pm and 6am (overnight service) The total rate for this service is $200 (per way, from 1 to 4 guests and $25 the extra guest after 4) Includes: Your own private driver, own private minibus or large SUV Departure time is selected by the client. (Please provide your arrival flight itinerary) Please confirm your drop off location in Jaco.
HERRADURA BEACH TO SAN JOSE
Collective Shuttle: (Herradura to San Jose) The collective shuttle departs three times a day: departing: 10:20am arriving: 12:45pm departing: 01:50pm arriving: 03:35pm departing: 03:05pm arriving: 05:25pm Pick up available from the main hotels in Herradura. The collective shuttle is rated in $35 per person, per way.
Private Shuttle: (Herradura to San Jose) This is a private door to door service with your own driver and own vehicle. Pick up would be directly at your location in Jaco and at the time of your election and drop off would be your at destination in the San Jose area. The total rate for this service is $150 (per way, from 1 to 4 guests and $25 the extra guest after 4) Includes: Your own private driver, own private minibus or large SUV
